Study of Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight-Polyethylene in additive manufacturing


As technology advance, various of materials are engineered as the filament of a 3D printer.Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight-Polyethylene(UHMWPE) would be a possible innovative material for advanced additive manufacturing.It provided a high strength, stiffness, and bio-compatibility which suitable for numerous engineering application.However, the study and engineering of UHMWPE are limited .Furthermore ,the research on UHMWPE is not specified for the additive manufacturing.In order to find out the preparation methods of UHMWPE for 3D printing and the operating condition ,the production methods of UHMWPE and the representative product properties would be investigated.
