Mingyi WANG Won the IEEE EMBS Best Student Paper Award 2023

Student Mingyi WANG, supervised by Prof. Yiwen WANG, has won the IEEE EMBS Best Student Paper Award Second Runner Up for his project titled "Correlating Local Field Potential to Synchronized Spike Activity in the Medial Prefrontal Cortex." The award was presented at the 21st IEEE International School and Symposium on Medical Devices and Biosensors, held in conjunction with the 14th International Symposium on Biomedical and Health Engineering (MDBS-BHE'2023) conference, hosted by IEEE EMBS.

This award is a prestigious recognition given by IEEE's Engineering in Medicine & Biology Society. It honors outstanding papers in the field of health engineering, especially biomedical biosensors, robotics, and AI, with applications in the prediction and control of chronic or neurodegenerative diseases.
